Simple amswer is yes, but just how much I cant say. There are people who specialize in collecting cheques, I have a few myself LOL that one I will say looks rather nice with the small picture and the dog :D drawbacks are of course the creasing but it dont appear to have any tears in it so that is good. Can I sugest that you have a look on ebay to see if there are any similar items up for sale?

Try searching for Scripophily or Ephemera Jon. An eBay search for canceled checks turned up five results. Three were checks from 1876, 1920 and 1952. The same page showed 192 items in various eBay stores. De Orc is correct. Your check is collectible.....what it's worth will depend on how much an interested party is willing to pay. Good Luck.

A quick look at the Ebay store checks showed several from Nebraska. A collector interested in a set of state checks, educational checks or interesting graphics could be interested. That agricultural image is a beauty. Maybe a dog collector would show interest also.

If I were you I'd see what I could find out about the named individuals. I'd guess maybe there's some interesting history behind it. I'd say perhaps your biggest payoff would be to find someone who works for the Nebraska school board who's a collector. It's a nice thing!

That check will be of interest to collectors of Nebraska history. Wilbur Bryant was a county judge and a delegate to the Nebraska State 1919-20 Constitutional Convention.

Too bad it's not one of those stamped checks. Either having a 2 cent revenue stamp, or printed on a 2 cent revenue paper.
