What do you figure to be the total added value of a party authenticated toned specimen amongst the cartwheel S$1? You can't believe the beauty in the flesh.
I would have to see clearer photos of that coin. $125 is quite high for a MS 61, even if it is toned. The posted photos make it look like it should be graded much higher. Just my opinion.
In the realm of rainbow toned Morgan Dollars that coin is a guppy. IMO, that toning shouldn’t even drive a price premium at all. Furthermore, the coin is an MS61 in an ANACS holder. I don’t think that coin is worth even half of that $125 price tag. There are so many fantastically toned, higher graded Morgan Dollars in Tier 1 TPG holders, that there simply is no reason to settle for a coin like this.
One man's toning is another's corrosion. I want MS coins to look like they just came out of the mint, and no coin comes out of the mint looking like that.
