I have two Spanish Colonial milled bust coins which were found in an old house here in Maine. Wondered if anyone knows the assayers or has any other info about them..The first is an 1809 Ferdin VII, 8 Reales, minted Mexico City, Assayers T & H. On the bust side the coin is worn some. On the other side the wear is on the edges and the coin is struck off center. The other is 1805, Carolus IIII, 8 Reales, minted Potosi, Bolivia, Assayers P & J. Some wear on both sides, especially edges. Coin seems to be struck on target.

Any comments or help on the assayers would be appreciated. Thanks

According to the World Coin catalogue, your assayers are as follows:

    For Mexico Mint
Assayer T Tomas Butron Miranda 1809 to 1810
Assayer H Henrique Beunaventura Azorin 1803 to 1814

    For Potosi Mint
Assayer P Pedro Martin de Albizu 1795 to 1824
    Assayer J Juan palomo y Sierra 1803 to 1812

Post a picture of your coins if you can. It will be very interesting to see them.
    regards,
    Eduard
