2008 P quarter interior die break

    On the reverse at top left and right of design image and a small one lower left of image. Interior die break lumps are normally featureless, but these are shaped like a ovoid cud. Ovoid cuds involve the rim. Help?

    I think that's a polished die to remove die chips.

    These can be interesting if you can find later stages of these which will include outright cracks and die chips forming in the same area.

    Yes, they are very small, but very interesting.

    Actually no, these are pre die crack depressions which come before the die cracks and chips would appear. This is an early stage of die failure and come before actual pieces of the die break away.

    I've heard it both ways now. Either way I don't think they carry any premium.
