And who exactly is supposed to judge if something is not what they advertise it to be ? You, me, somebody else ? And whoever it is, how does anybody ever know that the person doing the judging is even qualified to do that ?

Then of course you have to also define what "clearly not what they advertise" even is. I mean in this case, it's kinda obvious, but what about anything, everything else ? Suppose somebody else, you maybe, offers a slabbed coin that has a 65 on the label. Suppose this person doing the judging looks at it and says - no way that's a 65 ! Is he then supposed to pull it because he thinks it's "clearly not what they advertise" it to be ? So if I pulled your ad for this 65 coin, what would you be saying then ? Or suppose it's a raw coin you posted, and the ad says XF and the person judging says it's VF ? Or it can be an error or variety or it can be anything. In every case, your suggestion is making somebody responsible for making all those decisions.

And are you also aware that on a forum like this, the forum itself never bears any legal responsibility for what people post here. BUT - every individual does bear personal legal responsibility for everything they say and do. So if you're the one doing this judging of items offered - then you personally could be sued if you remove a listing. Knowing that, would you still be willing to judge and remove a listing ?

These are the problems, the reality, of what CT faces. And that is exactly why CT does it the way we do it. Because bottom line, we don't have any choice but to do it that way.

Any deal made, any ad posted - it's all between you and the person who responds to it. YOU have to be the one to decide, to judge if it is what they say it is, and if you are willing to buy it. YOU have to bear responsibility for your own actions - we are not going to do it for you.

And if anybody there's that doesn't like it - then they don't have advertise here and they don't have to buy here. That's why that warning says -

So if you buy anything here, arrange to trade anything here - you're a damn fool !
