If the Reverse is centered correctly then yes it is misaligned on the Obverse. Always show both sides of the coin for more clues.
Are non US errors welcomed? I have been told that their are a 'couple' of these but I have only ever seen the one.
Sure! Why did you block out the numbers? The Barcode can be scanned and The same information would be found.
Apologies for the poor-quality photos but as I like it I wanted to share. This coin is currently in grading so it’s the best I can do image wise! I suspect it’s a 50 pence struck on a 10 pence planchet and of course an off centre strike. I am only aware of one other like this but there maybe more out there.
Sorry for the late reply. Your coin is worn and it's very difficult to see if you have anything. I do see some similarity to the 1938 S WRPM-003 shown on this site: http://doubleddie.com/967399.html Also here: http://varietyvista.com/02a LC RPMs Vol 1/1938SRPM003.htm I'm not saying that's what you have as I'm not an expert on error coins. Ask the experts: @Fred Weinberg; @JCro57; @furryfrog02; @paddyman98; @desertgem: @Paddy54; et al.
you should post clearer pictures. Maybe start a new thread concerning your coin. I never heard of a cent with 3 edges. Sounds like damage.
