17th. Century Traders' Tokens from England.

    Sylvester,as an interesting sideline to the English coin series,I collect Traders' Tokens.Over the past few years,the following pieces have come my way into my collection;

    Bridgewater N.D. 1/4d. Robert Haviland.

    Bristol 1660 1/4d. Town.

    Gloucester N.D. 1/4d. Thomas Cooke.

    Norwich 1667 1/4d. Town.

    Shrewsbury 1663 1/2d. Constantine Overton.

    Southwold 1667 1/2d. Town.

    Worcester N.D. 1/2d. Richard Bedoes.

    (Note; Town issues bear the Coat-of-Arms of the town,city,or village of issue).

    Did you know that Dixon, Noonan & Webb (www.dnw.uk) is going to be selling some in their March 16th auction? I'n not sure how extensive the sale is because I haven't looked at them. I don't collect them.
