Love all the prizes offered. I am glad to see paper money which I have started to collect. I also like the foreign coins being offered. I have quite a bit of foreign coins which I am enjoying trying to classify.

My brothers coin hoard he started saving back in the 90's. He was finally ready to cash it in, so I bought the coins from him, based on paying him face value after sorting and counting. Then I held a contest with my three girls, and one son in-law. Guess the value without going over. Prize to be 10% value of jars, paid in silver.
    Guesses were as follow:
    My guess - $1,032.17
    Daughter 1 - $995.00
    Daughter 2 - $749.01
    Her husband - $796.80
    Daughter 3 - $888.00

Stop reading here if you want to guess!

There ended up being no coins later than 2007.
    Total Coins:
    $21.13 in cents
    $52.60 in nickels
    $195.00 in dimes
    $590.00 in quarters
    $55.00 in dollars
For a grand total of $913.73

    I was $118.44 over
    Daughter 1 was $81.27 over
    Daughter 2 was $164.72 under
    Son in-law was $116.93 under
Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner goes to:
Daughter 3, $25.73 under! WOW Pretty dang close!

Though she is a bit of a collector, as are all the girls, being 28 years old she opted for cash as her prize, rather than silver!

AND THAT, was my pleasure!

When I was 10 my Dad knew a bus driver who collected coins-in the 1960's drivers made change so they often were able to find coins they needed for their collection. He often gave my Dad pennies to help me with my beginning collection

One if my most sought after coins is the 1943 copper wheat penny. And not because the value, as I would never sell it, but because I love the history of WWII .

The '84S is pretty common in lower grades, but takes a big jump into $X,XXX in MS grades.

Did you know that most of the buildings on the fairgrounds were constructed using papier mache and plaster? The city couldn't afford to build permanent structures?

Checking vending machines in an environment, almost entirely devoid of numismatists (a college campus) certainly pays off.

Of those two, I liked the AU better than the UNC. Both are great coins.
