Where did you go old friend?

We've had a very few long-time members tell us they were leaving, and why, but I count nine Coin Talkers with more than 1000 posts each who seem to have just dropped off the face of the earth. So far as I can tell, none of them have been banned.

Has anyone heard from any of these members since their last post:

If it's the same guy (pretty sure it is) Moen pops up on PRWE fairly regularly.

 

Thats a good question. I think clembo is right about Moen, but I have no idea about the others.

 

They may be on the forum under different user name. Sometimes people change user name because they simply dis-like the name they chose.

 

I know that a couple of them are on projects, they still buy stuff on eBay etc. But don't frequent the forums because of lack of time.

 

I can't speak for them but I know I sometimes get burnt out on forums. There are a couple other forums I've been a member of... one since 2000 and one since 05. I have over 1500 posts on both of them but it gets to the point where you read some of the same stuff so much, you get burnt out.

I still go to them but I do more reading than posting now unless something really interests me. I've only been at this forum for a few months so it's still new to me and I now spend more time here than the others.

Just a guess. Nothing personal with them. I still like the other forums. I just don't spend as much time at them. Maybe it's the same with these guys?

 

The dates I posted are the ones listed in each one's profile as last activity or last post, which I'm sure includes PRWE postings.

 

I think Jody was on not too long ago---I bet when the server was down that one day it re-set his last log-in time.
Charile If I remember right works a job every summer and normally only gets on in the Fall and Winter months.

Moen pops in every once in awhile, he made a reply to my profile not too long ago I think. I'm not sure about the others though to be honest with you.

Actually, no it does not. Moen's last post on PRWE was 06/04/08.

 

The only ones I remember are Moen and Jody. But I havent seen or heard from either one of them for quite some time. Is Jody still a Mod?

yes Jody is still a Mod....as for:
sylvester, Ian, Andy, Mikjo0, and lawdogct, I think that most of the time those guys hung-out in the World coin part of the forum....with lawdogct being more in the Error part and talking about ASE and such...
