2007 Presidential Dollar set, all four of them in Ultra Cameo Gem Proof 69 (graded and slabbed by PCGS). I can get it for $70... should I? stainless
I wouldn't pay more than four dollars for them, personally. I read, I believe in Coin World some time back, that there is no real premium, in a real world sense, for moderns with high grades like that because literallt millions come out of the mint with those super high grades, as opposed to years ago when technology wasn't that great. I think you'll find in a few years they'll be worth slightly more than a dollar each, but not much. Guy~
IMO, you can get Ultra Cameo Gem Proof 69 right out of the Mint already encased in plastic for $14.95 http://catalog.usmint.gov/webapp/wc...ctId=14397&langId=-1&parent_category_rn=10211 Its a waste of money to spend $70 dollars just because the set is in a PCGS holder.
They are as common as dirt Stainless, for $70 you could get the whole 2007 Presidential Proofset and have more than $50 left. You dont need the slab to say they are PR69DCAM, they generally come that way. PR-70's are where the premium is. Registry set fever. How about I send you a set for your graduation? Done deal. Save your money.
LOL Oh no, Stainless is my contact in Detroit. He sent me all the 08 Pistons and Redwings playoff goodies. I owe him dearly, lol.
well you could have let that warm glow stay in there for a few hours but no thank goodness you didnt say you own him dearly
Thanks a bunch man. Let me know when you get that package BTW, I mailed Saturday. No Red Wing stuff though, but I did get some stuff from the stanly cup thing so that will be in your next package stainless
NVRMND, it must be Santa, because I still have all the teeth I brush. She doesnt accept the black ones that fall out.
The paper also says " Ballistic Rolls " are a good deal. Glad you asked first this time. Not to knock slabs or anything, but unless you are building a registry or something, you are paying a lot of $$$ for the plastic on common $4 coins.....Common moderns will not be your best dollar spent.
it just allows other people to see what coins you have and their grades. They rank your collection as you build it. I don't have one but plan on starting one very soon.
