Some weeks are just good, last week I was getting some rolls of coins at my local bank when one of the tellers asked if I still collected halves. She said that she had 18 that someone had just turned in but they were all 1967,68 and 69. I was glad to take them. Next day a friend was telling me that he just rolled $500 wort of cents to get rid of, and had about about that much or more left to roll. He had saved every penny he could fo the last 45 or more years. I will be glad to take the rest off of his hands, may take some time to search through them. But glad to do it( I collect Lincoln errors and varities). To end the week, Thur. I recieved 2 Silver Eagles I had ordered from the mint, one had the 2007 rev. So some weeks are just great.
Very cool, congrats! Let us know how you do with those Lincoln's, might have the 84 DDO, or a few 95 DDO's, ya never know. :thumb: Phoenix
Thanks Phoenix, I am looking foward to searching through these as they were saved at least 20 years ago. So far there have been several AU to BU in the 60s to the 80s and the oldest is a 1919S wheat.
Sounds like you're having a week similar to mine. I've found over 20 silver nickels and 7 buffalo nickels in rolls at work.
hi bizzy bill, looks like your on a roll...I collect error cents too . I get a thrill looking through common date wheat cents for errors. I get lots of them in coin lot sales, some people will have a little bit of everthing in there collection, they no loner want or was given to them, and wanting to sell. Lot of fun for small investment. enjoy the forum , ozarktravler
