1924 Peace dollar in GEM BU! The seller says: "This coin is not ugly, scrap that are up for sell on many pages. If you want the best for your collection don't miss this coin. This is a true Gem mint, lustrous, extra clean, and very sparkly Peace Dollar. I haven't seen anything nice like this ones on ebay for a long time." Perhaps he sould search under: Ugly coins? No additional charge for the polishing machine! http://cgi.ebay.com/1924-Lustrous-G...ryZ11980QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Yeah, but shipping is free! I've archived his picture for reference as an example of the difference between "lusterous" and "highly polished".
I think that the Peace Dollar has luster on par with many day modern proofs... lmao too bad it's a business strike...
Key Date 1884 CC LUSTROUS GEM BU Morgan DOLLAR SILVER COIN BU !! These coins came from an Unponed Bank Mint Roll and they are Brilliant Condition
Don't you see it guys!?!? It's a proof coin, very rare for that year. I mean, just look at it! (Just put sunglasses on first ) Phoenix
Wow..I wonder if you get a free buffer with the purchase of each BU coin. Its now got 3 bids and its up to $11.05, reserve still not met....simply amazing. Why would someone in their right mind even consider bidding on junk like this....nevermind, I already know....because its PRETTY!!! BTW...Has anyone emailed this seller and broke the bad news to him yet?
Oh...I forgot to mention, has anyone read the feedback he's recieved for a few of the other Peace Dollars this seller has sold....the buyers actually like them and he's gotten positive feedback for them...haha. Here are a few from his feedback list. One guy says.."Great Item. As described and pictured" Here's the auction... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140235474411 This guy says.."Nice coin" same thing here. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140235690376 Its really a crying shame these people are spending close or over $50 dollars for polished coins.
Quick where are my sunglasses , isn't he the same guy that was selling all that old Blue Corral car wax , now we know what he did with it .LOL rzage Treashunt don't forget to enter that in Toads contest .
Sheesh, Winning bid: US $46.65 and $51 for those highly buffed peace 1924 $'s. Must be the cost of labor.
I noticed your conversation about this seller. One of the other 'Gem BU' coins is this poor Morgan: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140238790405&ssPageName=MERC_VI_RCRX_Pr12_PcY_BID_Stores_IT&refitem=140238786286&itemcount=12&refwidgetloc=active_view_item&usedrule1=CrossSell_LogicX&refwidgettype=cross_promot_widget&_trksid=p284.m184&_trkparms=algo%3DCRX%26its%3DS%252BI%252BSS%26itu%3DISS%252BUCI%252BSI%26otn%3D12 Can anyone see more detail in the 'etching' on her face? It looks like the letters JET to me, but my eyesight may be playing tricks on me.....
Hmmm... scar face. What a GEM BEAUTY! We see coins like this at the shop. Look like they got chromed. We call them proofs as we laugh.
