I was actually thinking possible fake also. It looks too smooth in some of the pix.

    Unnecessary.....better suited for a PM.

No, the dried fingers and fingernails were unnecessary.

Just shows that some folks actually do real work. No air-conditioning, and keyboard typing. Sweat and muscle, with a lot of skill and experience mixed in.

No problem. I just don't like to look at their fingers up close. and please don't tell me you don't have air conditioning or type on a keyboard.

Close your eyes or "turn the page". Nothing here requires you to be so sanctimonious.
    Are you perfect?
or perhaps you just have better looking fingers?

Again, your personal criticisms are not needed nor warranted.

I'd use a pumice stone to knock off the dead skin, work back the calluses, and then moisturize to repair.

@James R you received feedback from some knowledgeable collectors. If you still believe you have something, either do some additional research from auction records, VAMworld, etc to see if there are die markers that exactly match your coin, or send it to a TPG.

    Hope this helps

It's not a high relief. Its a low and it's worth about twenty dollars.

If you have the Van Allen and Mallis (VAM) book, chp 11 gives good photos as well as descriptions. Info may also be on the VAM website but I haven't checked.
