Hey Everyone.:hail: Just had an amazing night at work with some incredible finds. First off found an almost ladder $5 star. 2003A FF 00111232*. Then in three rolls of nickels I found 33 pre 1961 nickels. Someone had to have cashed in an old jar of change or something. The finds were: 1 dateless Buffalo, 2 1940, 1 1940-D, 2 1941-D, 1 1941-S, 1 1942-P (silver), 2 1943-P, 2 1943-S, 1 1945-D, 1 1945-S, 2 1946, 1 1947, 3 1947-D, 2 1948, 2 1948-D, 1 1951, 1 1952-D, 1 1954-D, 2 1958-D, 1 1959-D, 1 1960-D, 2 1961-D. We're hiring now if any of you are interested in a job now!! P.S. My wife has my camera now, out of town. Will get a pic of the note when she gets back.
7 war nickels in one night - that's great - I believe I have searched well over $1000 (maybe over $2K) in nickels and I have not found that many. Congrats!
Update while on lunch one more silver nickel 1944-D, and one more dateless Buffalo. That appears to be the end of it......................but I think I need to buy a powerball ticket.
Actually glad I worked all weekend Opened one more unbelievable roll again this morning. It had 5 Buffaloes, 2 dateless, 1-1928, 1-1936, 1-1937. Also had 8 more silver nickels, 1 1942-P, 2 1943-P, 1 1943-D, 2 1943-S, 1 1944-S, and 1 1944-P. That's a total of 7 Buffaloes, and 17 sliver nickels out of 5 "super" rolls.hya:
Don't mean to sound like a broken record, but........... Found 6 more silver nickels today. I seriously don't know when to expect the rolls to dry up. Just have to see when we open the rest of the rolls from this box. Anyway, here are the finds. 1 1942-S, 2 1943-P, 2 1944-D, and 1 1945-P. The hoard so far
I had a find like this but with no buffaloes. A few months ago I went to the bank and pick up $30.00 in nickels and 11 rolls were per 1960 a lot of 1950's with 6 - 39, 2 - 38, all P's 1 - 41 large S, and 1 1950 D. That was the best day I had with nickels not as good as Newman but still good. Nice find, keep it up.
