Previously unrecognized (by Numista and NGC) Small Date Variety found.

This 5 Centavos Peru type series runs from 1945 to 1965

Numista and NGC acknowledge Small Date/Large Date Varieties for 1957, 1960, and 1965 in the series. An Overdate Variety is acknowledged by Numista for 1964 but not a Small Date/Large Date Variety. https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces1022.html

The coin I present here appears to be an Overdate Small Date Variety for 1964

    combined with a Die Clash.

Didn't you post the image of the 1964 Large Date once before? I believe I thought the "4" was larger than the other digits.

Strange, but the digits are very rough.

Are you sure that it is real?

Yes I did. Good memory. The "4" is mentioned here:

I have found no reference to this small date variety nor have I found another example. I would like to hear from anyone who is aware of either!

I have several of the 1964 issue with enough evidence to say that the date numbers are hand punched individually.

This one shows evidence of repunching:

You're close-up certainly makes it look like it is a Small Date variety when compared to the Large Date.

How would you get such a variety authenticated?

That was my first reaction too, but after looking at images of a few others from the series, it looks like the digits were always rough.

I did show these photos to Mike D. and just heard back from him the following:

    "Hi Pete.
You are correct on all counts. I suspect there are other unrecognized repunched dates, overdates, and misplaced dates among Peruvian issues produced during this time period.
    Cheers,
    Mike"

Have you thought about reaching out to NGC and seeing what they say?
