Found this real nice 44S Wheatback going through rolls of cents from my local bank.

The high areas have some wear, so I would call it an AU, maybe 58

Usual signs of cleaning when you see a coin in that amount of so called original color and some wear. Note the hair lines and the wheats on the reverse showing wear. All in all I would go with a minimum of AU58 to MS60. Sill very unusual for change.

I'm going to call it AU-50, only for the reason that his face consists of the most wear thats visible of this coin. Maybe i'll give it a 58 because of all the full wheat lines, and full oval wheat grains. I'm actually not entirly sure, but I know somewhere in those grounds.

I say MS-63. It doesn't look to me to be rubbed or worn, or even cleaned. It's not a $50 coin, either, but a nice example of what it is.

Looks like an AU-53, maybe an AU-55 to me. Looks like there is some rub above the ear on the obverse, on the cheek and jawbone, and on the right wheat stalk. But, I could be totally wrong, but that's what I tell from the pics. Still, a sweet find from circulation, congrats!!! :thumb:

I call it a great circulation find !!! Not valuable except to you, but an exceptional pull none the less !!

    Thanks!

I pulled a 1909 Plain Lincoln Cent looking even in better condition as this 44 s from a roll of pennies around 15 years ago .

I could not believe how nice and shiny it was- had to give it a double take when I saw the date 1909 and the wheatback on the Reverse!
Unfortunately I ended up selling it for a lot less than it was worth :headbang:
