Hi, just seeking for some info on this coin i cant seem to find any and just wondering if they do exist? I read that they had 495 mintage but thats just about all i know.. any help would be really appreciated!
Are you sure it's not some reproduction? There was a flood of British commonwealth pattern coins "restruck" and were offered by an auction house. I'm not an expert on them but I'm sure I've seen plentiful copies of them.
My concern is, if they are indeed patterns, they would be worth A LOT more than a mere 200 dollars and most likely only offered by major auction houses. Will it be possible for you to post some links? Thanks.

Yes, that was the auction house that released a huge batch of those. This is an example on the other forum that a member posted: http://www.coinpeople.com/index.php?showtopic=18112&hl=pattern Those are or rather were (?) common.
