    From the Morgan mint:

Note that they are talking about a 1907 D (Even emphasizing that it is from Denver).

Then they show a picture of a 1905 Philly, in Gem condition, no less.

Phone call: The Morgan Mint, how may I help you?

Me: Yes, mam', Ah'd lake to order me one of them there 1907 D Denver mint quarters, with the 1905 date and no mintmark please.

Morgan Mint: Sure, how many would you like?

Me: Heck, Ah'll take 'em all.

Read their about "Morgan Mint" page. I am not sure it really helps answer your question, but they sure have some interesting statement in there.

Has anyone ever bought a coin from Publisher’s Clearing House, or Fingerhut?

They produce their own legal tender!?!?! That is interesting!

I think they just put a pic of a nice Barber to get people's attention, so that they would probably expect something like that, in that condition. I vote sneaky.

Certainly, Sir. I will get out two million 1907 D quarters for you this afternoon. May I have your credit card number, Sir.

The entire advertisement is messed up. It shows a 1905, says the mint opened in 1906 but then you say they are selling 1907's?

The advertisement is seriously lacking, which points to stupidity but sneaky goes hand-in-hand with stupidity, so I vote . . . BOTH! :D

Sneaky - notice the really nice coin in the foreground and look at the coin in the background. They can at least say the showed a picture of the low grade coin you will receive. And they were even nice enough to let you know the coin in the foreground is "enhanced". Sneaky and dishonest in my opinion.

If you and I did that guess who would be knocking at the door.

They know exactly what they are doing.

You pay $12.95 and get a harshly cleaned (but shiney) circulated Barber quarter.

People come into the shop with crap like this all of the time. We buy it, I crack it out and it either gets sold to a collector cheap or goes in the melt bucket.

I actually have a few similar sets and believe me I got them cheap. Should actually scrap them as I know I can get more than I paid.
