Check the eye on that 1943 P war nickel.

It COULD be the doubled eye, not sure, hard to tell from the picture.

Frank, if it is it is so worn it's hard to make it out. There is foreign debris in that area that would need to come off to see if traces of it are still there. The scope tends to flatten everything so that made it even harder to tell. It is in better shape than the one I had in the album so I had put it in there. Maybe I'll take it home tonight and give it a bath in Acetone???

    Thanks for taking a look!

I can't be sure by the pictures, but it dosen't look like it.

So, a light cleaning couldn't hurt it.

[yeah, yeah, I know.....I have sinned.]

This poor guy is so heavly circulated I don't see how anyone could be upset by a little acetone. Can only help to keep the debris from turning into something worse.

I don't think it is either but it does seem to have a faint mark in the general area. Like I said though, the wear really is so heavy, who knows.

    Best Regards

Picked up a couple boxes of pennies this week with decent results. First box was quite a bit better with 3 wheats pre 1940s. Took me a little bit to figure out where the Norwegian coin was from. Just had a date and a picture of a dragon on the other side. Managed to fill 2 more slots in my books and replace a couple others with better coins.

    First Box

    1 Canadian

    Wheats
    1919 S
    1934
    1934 D
    1941 D (2)
    1942
    1945 D
    1951 D
    1953 D
    1954 D
    1955 D
    1956 D
    1957 D

    Second Box

    5 Canadian
    1 Norwegian

    I am back searching Halves again. Out of 6 customer wrapped rolls I found 2 40%. A 1967 and a 1968 D.

Teller also had two ikes loose in the drawer. 1971 and 1971-D

Silver, and IKES, Not a bad day!

It's one good thing about a tanking economy. It loosens up hoarded goodies!

the canadian cent is a Centennial (one hundred, not two).

Not really worth anything (premium-wise), but fun to have if you can afford it ;)
