ok guys this is my latest and last buy now dont have any more bids out there for anything anymore take a look and guess the grade this will be a curveball
Yet another beauty , Spock , how do you do it , it looks proof but since you said curveball , I'll say prooflike -65 . rzage
pratice practice and more practice rzage that in tune with knowledge and tons of patience most of the coins you see that i posted recently have been researched for more than 6 months to a year some like the Oregon trail and the 1921 peace dollar a lot longer with no luck
Spock wish I had your patience , but mine is getting better , know for the knowledge part . Speaking of patience don't keep us in suspence more than 2 days , see what I mean , no patience . LOL rzage:smile:whistle:hya::kewl::hatch::hammer::smile
dont worry by this time tomorrow the thread will be dead and you might be theonly person who attempted a grade maybe scottishmoney and GD might try but i dont think anyone else will
I'm grading it (trying to ) like it was a US coin , is this right or is there another scale for Worlds rzage
At this time tomorrow I'll bet at least 8 grades , probably none right . just kidding , nice picture btw . rzage
That doesn't help ,the fields are so smooth looking & the strike is razor it sure looks like a proof , can't see any marks . The 65 is just a guess it could go higher , 1-2 pts . JMO . How many were made or are left . rzage
Never graded anything B4, PL 69 million kajillion dollar error.(looks like a different crown and back of head behind the most bold one, whats it called again when 1 coin is struck on top of another?) I have no idea, but had 2 guess due to your posting about lack of guesses. why do the lines in the toning go in different directions? Really a nice looking coin!
no one knows how many were left or made there is just speculation we can definitely say its rare though
Just FYI, I suspect there are "official" restrikes of these. Indian officials seemingly dug out dies for some of the Raj era coinage, because it appears out of nowhere from time to time, oft in splendid condition. As for a grade, I would go 64, but the NGC and PCGS will say 71.
Yeah I know i have some marvelous examples of those restrikes myself in fact all of the restrikes are worth more than the unc pieces but this one is a proof BTW the practise of restrikes was abondoned int he 60's what you see now is people who hoarded them then selling it one piece at a time. the restrikes are now banned inthe indian mints
I'm thinking in the Pf-66 range as well. I don't have a lot of experience with foreign, but that's my best guess.
