I went to the bank yesterday and got a box of nickels to search through. I opened up the box and every single coin was a 2007-P. I decided to keep a roll or two just because of the condition, but has anyone seen this before?
Go back and check the rolls. You never know if there may be an error in there. Examples: unstruck planchets. off centers double strikes. & Who knows what else. Or you may just waste your time.
or sell them on ebay for $4.50 and $5.00 s&h. Unopened boxes of unc rolls sell well on ebay. http://coins.search.ebay.com/2007-b...0QQsargnZQ2d1QQsaslcZ2QQsbrftogZ1QQsofocusZbs
It's really a good idea to save rolls for a few years to see if you're the only one who bothered, especially if they are nice rolls. No matter when you get rid of them it's wise to go through and pull out gems, varieties, and errors.
I went through it and there was nothing error-wise, but I did pull one out that could probably go 67 or 68.
this year i have gotten 3 cases like that . i generaly keep a couple rolls then trade them back in. i know that i posibly lost out on some keepers but i can't bring my self to go through 2000 of the same nickels. i am still wating on the 2008 nickels to come out here. so far only 2 2008d's . you might want to check out some of the 2007 's some don't have steps on the back . they come this way from the mint. i have only found this on the (P) nickels
wow - i've been trying very hard to find a new box of 07 nickels i see that only 2 have been graded by NGC with a 64 & 65 a few months ago a PCGS MS66FS sold for over 330 - these new nickels are hard to come by for those looking for them in high grades with full steps - for me errors are not worth looking - full steps are here is the ebay auction - too bad the pics are gone http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...sid=m37&satitle=160212359803&category0=&fvi=1
