is there really a difference between the 08 and the 09? I know you have a more updated list of modern coins, but having those doesn't really help just yet.
never have, never will I go off grey sheet for my buying I am just saying you don't really have to buy a red book every year......... maybe once every 4 or 5 years and you should be good
The Red Book is an excellent reference book for mintage figures, relative values, coin diameters, weights and metal contents, etc. The prices quoted in the Red Book are inflated and should not be used when buying coins. But the relative values are very useful (e.g., Coin A is worth more than Coin B).
have u heard about the unc prez coin they are selling for 72 hours. 124 dollars, little to much. wonder if they will do the same for the first lady coins.
it is a real shame that u would not find one in circulation. as it it this would be a nice coin to have. and im not spending 300 to get it.
http://catalog.usmint.gov/webapp/wc...storeId=10001&catalogId=10001&identifier=8500 Moneyfan, I still don't know where you get $300 for those coins. The link above shows you the current prices for the first spouse coins. Second, those coin are not made for circulation. Even though the mint puts a monetary value on the coin, they are not a $10 coin. They are bought for their bullion value (the value of the gold they are made of). On the mints web site you will see many coins that even though they say $5 or $10 or $100, they are an investment tool so that you can physically own precious metals (silver, gold, platinum). Likewise, if you look at the commemorative page, you'll see $1 dollar and half dollar bald eagle coins. Those as well will not circulate. Noone would pay $8.95 on a half dollar only to get $0.50 at McDonalds. I hope this clears things up.
right,im sorry. i dont know where i got the 300 idea. i still cant beleave i thought that. ugg. once again, sorry.
The general finds those kinds of people everyday they just visit the teller at his bank but for the remaining 6 billion of us it doesn't happen
