old bronze coin

    please can someone help identify this coin my father found about thirty years ago, it's about the size of a two pence piece please see photo's. look forward to your replys.

    Either a fantasy piece, or a modern replica of an ancient Greek coin - probably the former as it is far to regular in shape and strike to be an original ancient.

    It is a likely authentic 18th century French jetton. They are like little medallions, in bronze they are fairly common.

    Someone had posted one of these elsewhere, but no one had any info other than it being a jeton.

    This is a Hans Krauwinkel Jetton hence the HK under the two people, it dates to the late 16th Century/Early 17th Century, certainly not a modern fantasy piece!!
