Hi all, I made a resolution this year to stop buying any more coins until I got a 16-D Merc and a S-VDB Lincoln to "finish" (I use that term loosely, as I will constantly be upgrading) both of those sets. Here's the first one.

    Well...its lunch break---

    Nice Coin!!!!!
I'm guessing the 16-d is slabbed...it looks like it...I also guess the grade at G-5...it looks at little better than that but I don't think it would make it to VG....am I right?

This year I set a few goles with one being, getting the S-VDB since I need less then 10 coin to complete the Cents, from 1909-Date, and so I've been putting back so much money a week and I hope(haha) by the end of this year when I go to the Coin Show I'll be looking for one!!!
Last Monday I started paying on a 1908-S IHC...I'll post photo when I bring it home ;)

Let us know when you get the S VDB!

Just stop and think of how many boxes of Cracker-Jacks that dime has bought during it's life time. :D

Congrats on your purchase! I just picked up my first key date Mercury last week at my local coin shop's auction. It's a 1921 in about the same condition as your 1916-D.

I don't think I got hurt on it, I paid $400. And I don't plan on getting rid of it any time soon. ;)

I think you got a good deal...I've seen a few AG for sale and they were all over $500...
Sounds like you got a nice S-VDB...now what are you going to look for since you found both :D

I still think that coin is a little better then a AG but I've been wrong before...
