Barber halves?

I have just ordered a 1913 Barber Half in Vg. I also have a 1902 in VF as part of a type set. The prices of the AU common dates are still quite a bit for me. I have seen several high grade halves and they are gorgeous.

Some coin designs wear well and some don't. The Liberty Walkers in my opinion wear well and even coins in G or Vg are attractive. I don't think that the Barber's wear well. The coins in G are just not as attractive as I like.

Having said that, I have entertained the notion of putting together a set in G or slightly better.
