2008 ASE with rev of 2007 raw for a reasonable price i dont want to pay 100's for that coin so was wonderingif anyone knew any reasonable dealers? thanks.
No where that I have found yet. I figure I will have to wait several more months before they become reasonable.
What's a reasonable price? $100, $150, $200 or somewhere in between. Maybe if you rub Laura's feet or do her laundry for a month she will give you a good deal. LOL. :mouth:
thats what friends are for Laura, Joe will do all of the above for me Just remember to give me the coin and not him ( in case you didnt figure it out he is selfless)
When they first were known were were all shocked to see them selling for around $200. Now you are hard pressed to see them sell for less than $500.
And if they stay at or above 200 I will skip buying one. I would not mind having one, but not at those costs - I could buy a really nice large cent or bust half.
Right now it's a guess. Last estimate I saw was about 47,000 struck. It's a gamble. If you wait you'll find out "how rare" and "how desireable". But by the you may have missed the bargain. Or buy now and you may overpay. That's why I don't collect modern. I'll stay with the classics.
I hope they do become reasonable BUT if the production mintage of 47,000 is correct and can be confirmed, I don't think you'll see them this low in the future. JMHO Ben
Maybe your best shot is at a local dealer, who may not have heard about it. I doubt you can find internet dealer that will sell for under $500
greetings! please don't forget the 20th anniversary sets and unc eagles. they were up to $600 (silver sets..i sold one last yr at its height for $525) for unopened boxes, eagles were $125 or so . often if the hype wears off (there was an article in coin world that the 2008 w/2007 reverse were still being released)..you can get them for a reasonable price. of course...i can always be wrong......best wishes.....steve
