I have an old $50 from 1993, it is in very good condition and the ink from the back of the bill that states "The United States of America" just barely seaks through to the front of the bill, and the "B" stamp is the same way through the back...the number is B 81339090 C ...does anyone have advice or estimated value?
need a scan to tell for sure, but it sounds like the minor offset that occurs between two notes during printing. A true offset error would have a complete ghost image of the other side. Please post a pic.
here is the $50...you can see how the ink just starts to come through the front of the bill. is this more than face value? its pretty crisp too
It might be worth a little over face value just by virtue of being a "pretty crisp" 1993 $50. But the printing is perfectly normal, and the seal is supposed to be embossed like that....
The ink bleed through is pretty common, and can be seen on alot of notes of all denominations. As Numbers said, the condition of the note is what would add any premium
