    Hello fellow coin peeps :D

And please give it a grade?

Hey - your pictures are better. :) To me the coin looks like a nice AU coin from what I can see. I can't tell about the toning - the two I saw at the coin it was very obvious. As a matter of fact this almost looks like the reverse of one of those coins in the 20th century type set someone posted. So I am not sure.

I cannot figure it out either. But what I did see is there is also toning on the obverse, near the neck of Ms. Liberty.

P.S. Even with the breast feathers and hair detail, it does not make it into MS?

Hey man, nice coin first off. :thumb: Doesn't matter really how much detail a coin has to make it MS, if there is wear there, it's not MS. Very nice pics, I'm impressed you could get pics through the 2x2! :thumb: But, I can't tell if there is wear there, or not, but the luster looks "dull", which will affect the grade. Now personally, it looks AT to me, but I am no way an expert, and I could be very well wrong. But just offering my opinion. I do know, you got a nice Morgan there IMO! :thumb:

Here is why I said AU - on the reverse the upper right corner of the eagles breast looks like a little rub, then the very upper edge of the eagles wing. Then on the obverse I see what maybe another very light rub through the upper hair line down through the Liberty.
As for the toning I see it around the rims of the obverse. I can be wrong, there are others around here that certainly know more about morgans than I do. Look at those coins DJ has posted - some morgans are just flat out tough to grade. You still have a nice coin not matter what.

I can see no signs of wear and I think the toning is completely natural. As for grade - MS65. Nice coin Ryan ;)

It's about time somebody broke the ice and said that. I'm no expert but even I can tell this is a gem, allowing for the photography. Ditto, Ryan. Now watch, somebody's going to show us a close-up of a big gash! :D

It looks MS to me but pictures can be tricky , the toning looks natural , the only problem I can tell is that the toning might be hiding the luster , but IMO it's probebly the picture not the coin . MS-64:smile:mouth::whistle::cool::eek::)

Toning looks good to me, as does the MS grade. Usually you see a lot of the O mintmarked Morgans with that nice golden toning. Don't usually see the later dates with it. Nice coin!

    greetings!
the fields look especially clean enough for a 65 grade. even looking at the rim, breast, and hair above the ear..i fail to see wear. unfortunately, i cannot see the luster as the pics many times, do not truly reflect the luster and tone blending.
based on those reservations, i could give this coin a 65 if it meets the luster criteria. (only my humble opinion).
pretty morgan and thank you for sharing!.....steve

Then unless there's something this photography is hiding or disguising you got a real good deal, Ryan. It happens. :thumb:

I think the coin has great details and I don't see any wear. Either the toning or the pics seem to "dull" the luster on the obverse which I think lead some to think AU. If it wasn't for the sharp details, I would have leaned AU, as well, but as it is MS64-65. For $16, GREAT deal IMO.:)
