Hey all, I took a visit to a dealer yesterday, and got a few nice coins I think. Picked up a few to help finish my sets, not much, but they do look nice to me, lol. I got: 1911-D Lincoln Cent, strong XF-45 IMHO, for $45 1938-P Lincoln Cent, gorgeous toning (IMHO) and GEM, (JMO) for $3 and a 1918-S Lincoln Cent in VG-F, with what looks like strike throught on the reverse for $2. Pics to come! Phoenix
Nice coins phoenix. Can you retake the picture on the reverse - the strike thru is too fuzzy, but it certainly looks like you described. Cool coin!
Yep. 11-d looks to be 45 and a nice 38, but I can't tell much about the 1918 until you put a pic that is in focus. You certainly did not get taken to the cleaners with those prices. BTW, That is an interesting background you have there. Is that an old sock?
Thanks for the replies! I can try to get some more pics of the reverse of the 18-S tonight. Rlm: Lol, thanks. Actually, it's the bedsheet to my brother's bed. That spot is just about the perfect spot with the lighting, and everything. Thanks for the input and replies! Phoenix
Really like the 18 & 11 , pretty & no problems . Good price , nice finds , now if I could find a comparable 14-D . rzage
Dan and rzage, thanks! Rlm, lol, thanks. Weird, I know, but it works. Here another pic of the 18-S reverse, hope it help!: Phoenix
Yep - very nice. Looks like a strike through to me. Nice batch of coins. Its cool to find a coin like that.
