Found his little treasure and really paid no mind to it at first, until the Arizona sunshine peeked in this morning. Very significant and way more dramatic errors than the lots on PCGS' price guide. There are cracks in the die, the a majority of the lettering is distorted or doubled. The back is the same. I went on coopercoins for a reference and no luck. I want to sell it as is and hope someone was is interested. But I need some professional guidance. Anybody ever see this mint error for 1945-1947? And how much do you think the value is? Auction record is $9200 in Oct 18. Thanks in advance everyone
Welcome to Coin Talk. When you refer to an auction it would be better if you provided a link to the sale. You show a photo of a 1941 Lincoln Cent graded MS66+RD, which your coin is nowhere being close to in grade. Your photos are not clear enough to say whether you do or don't have a DDO. If you would please post clearer photos it would help a lot. Thank you. Pretty interesting reading early in the morning, drinking my coffee with my SAD light shining in my eyes. One can almost guess what the OP's coin will look like. Almost. Sometimes it really is a nice, a keeper. But it is amazing how many folks out there think a worn, or dryer coin, or PMDed coin is worth big money. Steve

I don't understand about the 1945-1947 part. Your 1941 is damaged and being worth .03 cents is being generous in my opinion. Have some real errors: 1941 1945 1946 1947 So yes I have seen mint errors for 1945-1947
Here is a slightly dramatic 41, but not an error. The obverse is almost completely BN with a hint of red and the reverse is RD. Probably in a Whitman folder for a long time...
