Die Deterioration. Not a Doubled die IMHO.

    I don't think so!

How long have you been collecting coins?

Welcome to Coin Talk. If you want to learn about the different kinds of doubling on coins use this site: http://doubleddie.com/
There's others but this is a good start.

I don't see anything but die deterioration or machine doubling? (the pictures are not the best) the 1970-s comes in a small date variety and this is a large date from what I can see.

As noted by our fellow enthusiasts, it doesn’t appear to be a doubled die. But as also noted the pictures are out of focus a bit to see the finer details. Both are the Large Date Variety. Here’s a link to check out your specimens against to see if you have a DD of one of the more minor variety - http://www.coppercoins.com/diesearch.php
