Same coin,ddo an ddr.

    I've got a simple question, for anyone who has information about how common or rare ..,,it is to have a coin with doubling on the obverse an reverse ? ..

    Yes.. I have seen some examples. But very rare.

    Reason for asking is I have 40%silver Kennedy half dollars with it on them .. an 4 Jefferson nickels..

    I believe I understand what it is... one looks like a step an the other is actually split.. I think that's the difference between machine doubling an hub doubling...

    It's been a month or two since I had my hands on the Kennedy half dollar box that I stored them in... I'm in the process of locating them among boxes an 100's of 2x2 cardboard containers...I really need more organization among my collection.. will post pics as I find them..

    I've found DDO/DDR Jefferson nickels, so they do occur. I wouldn't call it a rare event, but it is rather uncommon. I'll post one in a few.
