    Even machine doubling can be "close"......but no cigar.

    Here's the thing about a true "doubled die": since the doubling comes from the die itself (and not from a deterioration of parts during the minting/manufacturing process) the doubling will be an exact copy of the discovered variety.

    Although yours looks similar, it is not exactly the same (but it does exhibit the characteristics of machine or die deterioration; they made almost 700 million "S" coins - those dies got heavily worked). :(
