A lesson on what a china counterfeit piece looks like . I went on Tapatalk and asked if anyone could tell what variety this 1845 was . I had went on the Liberty Seated Dimes-Die Variety site and could not find it ? So a fellow named Clint informed it was a china counterfeit and their was a site selling them for $1.25 . I am sure some of you know more about these.
I think Clint is correct. The date looks too bold as compared to the rest of the details on the obverse. Everything shows wear but the date.
