Im not going to venture a grade on this Lincoln but its got very nice detail. Just a suggestion, obviously you bought the coin raw, I'd send the coin to PCGS or NGC for certification/authentication. I know its a personal preferance (slabbing) but I'd recommend any higher priced coins be certified.

Nice one. I wish I had it! Although I agree with indianhead. That may be a problem with that coin. Is that corrosion on the left wheat?

I find the "wood grain" planchet very appealing.
That being said, I would not want it on my 1090-S VDB.
But that's a personal preference.

If your coin is real (and I don't see any reason it isn't) it's VERY nice.
And better than mine (damn it.)

Thanks for the heads up on the VDB , I guess the authenticators have to know what to look for , learn something new just about every day here . BTW nice coin , JMO EX-45

What colors are the spots in hand? If they weren't there, I'd say solid AU, but I could be wrong on that. I am on several other things.

You might be wrong, but I don't think so. If those are just carbon spots, it still might make AU.

 

That's what I'm thinking, as they look black in the pics, but they also look "fuzzy", so I'm not sure.
