1920 Wheat Cent Reverse S Between Wheats ?

    There's an S between the wheats on the reverse was that a year they put mintmarks on reverse ? received_1952700201541125.jpeg received_900197317030856.jpeg

    Yeah, almost nicely centered, too, but definitely not a real S mint mark.

    That coin has seen a long and hard life. Many dents and dings have been affected to this coin and I believe that’s where the “raised look” came from.

    The wear and pitting makes this look like an S but it's a Philly with a lot of wear.
