Here is a new Parthian I picked up, this is of Vologases IV.

Although it isn't perfect, for $40 total, I think it was a decent price.

I love those classic Portuguese types in general, but that one, with the frosty devices and that subtle rim toning, is really lovely. Congrats.

Got this today from a friend. I do not collect bullion coins but I do collect Canadian coins and I have never had a reverse proof before. Plus I never turn down free silver. Mapleleaff-horz.jpg

Napoleon had a really rough time in Spain, failing to decisively destroy the parties guerrilla forces. Spain bled out hundreds of thousands of fighters, ultimately weakening Napoleon's power in the region. Great coin :)

Here are a few new additions that I got around to photographing today. I have some more research to do on the 1799 Halfpenny. By all accounts, it appears to be a normal currency strike, but the edges are sharp and the obverse signature on the lowest fold is unusual. Although it could just be a die pair I have never seen before. There were a ton of working dies for these pieces.

Acquired this Mysore 1811-1830 Gold Pagoda in MS62. Well centred and well struck I think and a very good price too:

    A few coins came yesterday. Note the King Rama VI Thailand 1 baht, date BE2457/1914 AD. Mintage only 490,000 making it the key date for that series. 1854 CA-NB 1 p token obv-horz.jpg 1873 GB shilling obv-horz.jpg 1914 TH 1 b obv-horz.jpg 1953 CA 1 d obv-horz.jpg

@coin_nut though the 1914 has the lowest mintage, the 1913 is actually harder to acquire and goes for more money. I'm still looking for a 1913 and its very hard to find one, even in thailand!

Bought this on a whim because I didn't have any Swiss Canton coins, and it seemed to be a shoutout to my home state ;)

Here is a new Greek Silver I picked up.

I don't get to add Greek silver very often so it's a nice feeling to get one every now and then.

Congo 2017. Technically it is probably a bullion piece but I like the design.

    100 Grams (3.215 Troy oz) of .999

Obverse: image of a Water Buffalo
Reverse: coat of arms for the Congo
