So I was emptying the pockets and found this cool looking 41 Nickel. And it sent me straight to My Box Of coins I’ve been just saving! So I came across this 82 cent and got to wondering if this is an error, variety, or common thing with the cents? I’m talking about that large gap between the Right side of the Cent. Thanks in advanced and hope you long timers have been doing Well

    Minor error not variety.
Misaligned Die Strike. Well known and common issue. Neat looking but really nothing major.

And on the side of this 87? Is that what they call a CUD?

No.. It's an IDB Interior Die Break aka Die Chip

A cud involves the rim in goes into the field.

    Both! :woot:

Depends on size, location and eye appeal.
There are many IDB that are common. The examples of cuds I have shown are documented. The cud where WE TRUST is known as the atheist cent and carries a premium
