I have a 1904 $20 Liberty. Bought it from a "dealer". My first purchase of gold for my collection. The dealer went to a show and had NGC "Certify" it, upon his recommendation. I was a real novice/newb/ Anyway, he brought it back with the coin in a slab, rated "UNC, DETAILS-Obverse Scratched" I didn't know the effect of that until I did a little research. I came to the realization to hold it since I would get much for it. That was about 6-7 years ago. I paid $1,300 for it. I also got an 1895 $20 Liberty. It came back MS61. I paid about $700 for it. A coin I really like, even though it didn't grade too high, is 2009 W Ultra High Relief Gold Double Eagle. I paid another $1,300. It had already been graded by PCGS as MS68. It came with the shipping box and everything it came in. Regardless, I really like this one. If I knew how to download pictures, I would show you some of my stuff.

Not mine but one of my metal detecting students found this 1876 $20 Double Eagle on his SECOND HUNT! (I hate him). The second picture is one I found....
Anybody into the 1857-S from the SS Central America or a regular U.S. issue ? Wondering if I might be able to pick one up at FUN for decent $$$ in AU-58.
