I have actually seen worse 1909-S-VDB cents for $100. Of course you have to trust that this is genuine.

 

Online listings like these from Ebay and Etsy are what confused me when I started learning about coins. I kept looking through my coins and saying “wow! I have this valuable coin too!” when in reality, the people are scammers.

 

@agrace97 I'm glad you figured this out quickly. Some don’t fare as well and fall victim to these unscrupulous sellers.
