Canadian Note find....

Went into a new Pawn Shop today and saw these two Canadian Notes in the display case. The folks behind the counter found them in a jewelry box that someone wanted to get rid of. They wanted $5 each, but I offered to buy them both for $2 alongside some other items. They were glad to get rid of them i'm guessing since one of them was complaining "It was all junk."

I was more interested in the interesting Serial # up on the 1954 one. Think I managed to snag a good deal?

I'd say you got a great deal for sure, I'd have been real happy to get them at that price! I love that first one, I have one myself (not a nice low serial though ) and it's one of my favourites in my small paper money collection. They both look to be in great shape too.

 

Did abit more research....seems I got myself a Devil Note.

very nice. I have 2 of the bottom notes but only 1 of them in amazing condition. I'm still searching for my first devil note

 

Wow, a low serial devil note. You got an amazing deal, in that condition I could see it selling for $50+
