once you have completed the obligation of the one auction on ebay you can do anything you want, so long as you are not talking about another listed auction. I have people that I met on ebay that I deal directly with now.
Nothing wrong with doing that. Same thing as winning on eBay, then walking into the dealer's store and buying there too. That's outside of eBay's jurisdiction. Just don't communicate through the eBay messaging system. AND you no longer have the buyer's protection that eBay offers (such as it is.)
