I came across this error. Would someone be so kind as to please classify this for me. Is it considered just a general die crack error? Thanking everyone in advance.
Not an error it's a die crack, die state , a point in the life span of a die,and very seldom carry any premium.
Correct. Not an error. Common wear-and-tear for a die in service. Some cracks are better than others. A full picture of the coin would give a better presentation to your fellow associates for comment. If the crack went rim-to-rim you'd have a keeper for sure. But a cropped photo may not tell the whole story. In this case, it's a significant crack. I put my most significant cracks into flips (personal interest).
Nice bold crack. Pretty cool in my opinion. Folks collect these but they don't pay much for them. It's worth saving.
I personally don't save die cracks but yours is pretty cool if you like it keep it that's what this Hobbies all about.
That's a very nice die crack. A die crack is described as a fine, raised line on a coin, caused by a broken die. This definition would classify it as a Mint error. It's considered common and that makes it almost worthless. Some people do not classify die cracks and other minor errors as errors. They are errors, they are just very common and almost worthless. Yours is an extremely nice example and worthy to add to your collection. It would only be worth around a dollar, two tops.
Hey brother, can you help me with the next image. Hunted 100 rolls when I came up with this. Please tell me something of value. Eyes are getting shit. LOL Off to do a little strumming now that you brought it up.
Sorry, but it's machine doubling. Flat and shelf like on both the date and mm is the giveaway. BTW: you may want to consider a new post for a new question. You'll get more eyes on it instead of tacking it on to an existing thread.
