I heard that once the United States made 3-cent bills. Where can these be found? And can I see a pic?

Believe there was a piece or two of fractional postage currency issued with that denomination around the time of the Civil War. Will let some of the fractional experts here fill you in on the details.

Quick search turned up an eBay auction for one (not suggesting buying it or not buying it, link purely for informational purposes)

    3 cent fractional currency

I have a few examples of the 3¢ bills that I have owned since I was a kid, but now I am anxiously searching for a nice CU example of the 15¢ note with Columbia on it. The 50¢ note in the 5th series had Abraham Lincoln.

    Socttish...
It was the 4th Series that had the (Fr1374) Lincoln 50 cent note. That note is quite expensive in CHCU and better!
There was also a( Fr1376) 50 cent Edwin M. Stanton (Lincolns Sec of War) note in that issue as well.
I have both notes in CHCU64 and both get expensive quickly!
