    Not too much lately.

The local bakery keeps them and gives them to me every morning. Also, my wife runs the cash register at a local pharmacy and knows what to look for! ChaaaChiiing !

Aidan, good weekend, here's my Kennedy haul from the bakery and CVS this weekend.

    (1) 1998P (latest so far)
    (2) 1996D
    (1) 1991P
    (2) 1974D
    (1) 1973P
    (1) 1972P

This was a great bunch. Just looking, all but the 1973 are AU candidates.

this might be a dumb question but...if you go to a bank(in the US) and ask for 50 cent pieces will they give them to you? I mean in change.

Yes - if they have any. You can also attempt to purchase them by the roll if you wish.

Many of the banks here in Portland have a good supply of half dollars and are happy to sell by the roll. Also, there is a branch of the Federal Reserve Bank here in Portland. I wonder if there is a connection...???

I have a lot of half dollars. I get them from the bank, in $10 rolls. I think my nicest one is a 1976 Silver Bicentenial one that I have.
