What are these supposed to be? They weigh between 4.96 and 4.99 grams and are about 2.2cms at the widest points. I'm told they are gold but I haven't been able to test that. To me they look like a cross between Greek and Egyptian coins, tokens or are they just fake souvenirs??

Very interesting - I have no idea what they are. Fascinating.

Fake (I think) Himyarite/Arabic, both with reverses imitating Athenian owls.

The top one seems to mix the obverse of a Himyarite(I think?) coin with a reverse that is vaguely reminiscent of a new-style Athenian owl. The way the engraving was done looks like it was done with a modern tool that could only engrave to a single depth. I suspect they are some sort of modern trinkets probably meant to separate the gullible from their money.
