1961D penny

please tell me what ( if anything) you see on this penny. I believe I see a DD mintmark and doubling on several points of the coin. There also appears to be a small mark on the cheek right below the eye.

I took photos from several vantage points to possibly give you better angles.

For me, it's hard to tell from the way the photos are oriented, and the angle of some of them.

I'm not seeing any of what you are seeing and it maybe the photos. Hard to tell.

 

The first thing I saw was the date reads the same upside down as it does right side up. Then the mintmark was on top of the date and backwards. It's so out of orientation I don't know what to think.

 

I don't see any doubling.

 

...strictly from your pix, I don’t see a doubled mm or rpm...the mark on the cheek appears to be a contact mark.

Granted, a very nice red 61-D...MS60 but no higher due to scratches...and there is a weak area on the reverse above columns 4, 5 and 6...Spark
