Me. Again. Wanted to know if this is PMD or What? I think it is PMD but have concerns regarding the obverse of the coin as it is raised and sunken. I don't know what could have happened to the coin? Weight is 5.03 grams. Here are pics!
Damaged is all that really matters. Heat from a really hot source. Does the heat source change anything?
It doesn’t change anything. I’m just wondering why there isn’t any discoloration due to being heated so hot that it melted?
You can heat anything without showing signs of the heat source. Put a raw egg in boiling water. The egg cooks but when removed and cooled down you don't know if that egg is raw or cooked until you crack it open.
@amnight ...I agree that it is heat damaged...however...I submitted a 1937 quarter to ANACS with similar artifacts in front of Georges face...it came back N9 counterfeit...Spark
