Guess what else we don't have in NYC..
    Wal-Mart!

The nearest one to me is 13.6 miles away in Long Island! Shocking isn't it? :jawdrop:

Yes - I grew up in that Urban retail desert.

It's actually easier to get to the one in Secaucus.

Paddyman, The Kroger Co., or simply Kroger, is an American retailing company founded by Bernard Kroger in 1883 in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is the United States' largest supermarket chain by revenue, the second-largest general retailer and the seventeenth largest company in the United States. Kroger is also the fifth-largest retailer in the world and the fourth largest American-owned private employer in the United States. Kroger is ranked #17 on the Fortune 500 rankings of the largest United States corporations by total revenue. <thank you, Google>

I would rather go to Kroger than Walmart... their employees are helpful, and I get discounts on gas for when I fill up the Explorer. LOTS of online coupons, too!
They will also get "special order" foods in, in certain cases... especially if it's a popular Cincinnati dish.

    ;-)

In my area, Walmart and danger go together.

I have a few Lincoln cents that look like that '86.. They feel different too?! Does anyone know why that is?

Hi Rachel , it's considered inappropriate to use a thread started by some one else to ask questions about your coins, even if the questions seem similar.
The best thing to do is to start your own thread, give it a title such as "Funny Lincoln Cents", ask your questions and please, if at all possible, post photos of the coin or coins in question, both front and back, then just sit back and wait for someone to respond.

You will get more responses, and more appropriate responses, by starting your own thread than you will by "hijacking" (as it's called) some one else's thread.

Welcome to Coin Talk !! , Good Luck and Thanks for posting.

I apologize for commenting on the post about the '86 penny that the OP said "felt funny between his fingers" and asking a question regarding the same post. But IMO, hijacking would be taking over the post and discussing grocery stores. Just my opinion.. like I said.. my apologies wilddavy

No harm done. We do this all the time. If I hadn't said something, someone else would have.
Thanks, keep posting, we love discussing coins.

    @Rachel Perez

This thread is about a 1979 Cent. Many members have probably already viewed it and may not bother to open it again. How is anybody going to know that a question regarding a 1986 cent is embedded? In addition, it could be confusing trying to figure out if people are responding the Wild Davy’s 1979 coin or your 1986.

That’s why it’s in your best interest to start new threads for new questions.

    Hope this helps

I totally understand that.. I do not understand how my responding to the OPs post in any way was "hijacking" his thread. Next time I will not respond at all. Again my apologies!

PS.. It was not my 1986 coin it was wildDavy's

Rachel, please don't get upset and stop participating. Please take photos of your coins, start a thread and let's jump right into your coins.

Remember that to attract the attention of any particular member simply "call" them like this @Hookman @Rachel Perez
