Obverse and reverse was struck through grease and debris the nose, back of head, liberty, and above date. Reverse left of memorial at UN and right of memorial are heavy concentrations of grease with debris sticking out of it. There is debris all over both sides. Any thoughts? 2019-10-4 15-17-33.jpg 2019-10-4 15-18-29.jpg 1004-62.jpg 1004-63.jpg 1004-64.jpg 1004-59.jpg 1004-60.jpg 1004-56.jpg

I'm at Bar Le' Casa right now. I'd rather be where ever OP is, especially if they are buying.

Circulation damage.. Not a mint error.

What are the signs of circulation damage. I really want to know. What caused it?

Where did the wire come from thats sticking out of the surface of the coin and can be seen under minimal magnification? Were all copper pennies struck with this wire in them? This is a learning site, so back what you say up with some informed knowledge. Thanks! I am trying to learn!!

Anything that can't be explained by the minting process (or a mistake during the minting process).

There is something there. Debris of some sort.

The coins leave the US Mint and get circulated.. Meaning as in Pocket change, cashier drawers, tips jars.. Anything that would cause dents, scratches, marks and damage.. Do you understand now? o_O
Your cent is a perfect example of circulation wear and tear.

That would be circulation exposure debris. Hairs, lint, dirt.. Anything That sticks to the surface of the coin that can be seen better when ridiculously magnified.

Sorry but I'm doing my best to nicely inform you that you really don't have anything significant.
